Quick Actions

Long-press a tile and a radial menu fans out with up to 8 shortcuts. Slide to one and release. Takes about a second.

{/* video: long-press, slide, release */}

  1. Long-press a tile
  2. Slide your finger (keep it down) to the action you want
  3. The action screen shows — slide to change the value, release to execute

Slide to the red X to cancel.

Toggle any device — not just the tile you pressed. A living room light tile could have a quick action for the porch light.

Run a script or scene — “Movie Mode” from any tile.

Switch pages — Jump straight to your cameras page.

Send a TTS message — “Dinner is ready” to the kitchen speaker.

Open a camera — Full-screen view, one gesture.

Peek at info — Quick glance at how many lights are on, who’s home, which doors are open, or devices with low battery.

Broadcast — Record a voice message and play it on your speakers.

Trigger an automation — Run any Home Assistant automation.

Call a custom service — Send any service call to Home Assistant — lock all doors, adjust a number, whatever your setup needs.

And more — these are just the most common ones.

Bedroom light tile with:

  • Toggle the hallway light
  • Activate “Good Night” scene
  • Switch to the security cameras page

Double-tap and hold anywhere — on a tile or empty space — to bring up a universal quick action menu. Works from any page, any tile, anywhere. Good for “all lights off” or page shortcuts.

In the iPhone app, tap a tile → Quick Actions → add up to 8 slots with custom icons and colors.

Each tile also has an automatic device menu with common controls for its type — brightness presets for lights, volume for media players, etc.

The radial menu has configurable visual effects — glow intensity, beam effects (Wedge, Aurora, Bloom, Ripple, Wake), and animation styles. These are set up per-tile in the editor.
